Our port to the Surveyor SRV-1 is a dual virtual-machine implementation. It provides a rock-solid base for doing direct hardware programming on the Analog Devices Blackfin BF537 as well as exploring higher-level, concurrent control and sensor processing in an incredibly robust development environment. Work on this platform is described (in part) in both Safe Parallelism for Behavioral Control as well as Virtual Machine Based Debugging for occam-pi.
As of this writing1, we are updating the Surveyor wrapper to support our new bytecode format.
